College Life....Away from home :)
What's up blog world!!! I just want to say that Iam happy to be back in your presence again it has surely been awhile. For those of you that are new to my blog I would like to say welcome and feel free to comment any way you like. Now I know its been awhile so I would like to catch you all up on what and how I am doing so far.
As most of you know I recieve a full ride debate scholarship to Wiley College home of the Great Debabtors, for just that DEBATE :). I must say since Aug. 25 when I stepped onto this campus I have been treated with the utmost respect by student and faculty. The debate team here is like that of a football team at any other school. And yes I LOVE IT!!!
Now even though this was a major plus, I must say just looking at the campus I was a little disappointed, just based on its size. But it turns out that this school is like a close knit family everyone knows everyone and they all look out for each other. Now just like any HBCU (Historically Black College or University) they do have their share of problems but I must admit that I enjoy it a lot. The people are amazing, everyone has a story, there is never a dull moment and the food is the best this side of the Mississippi LOL. I was a little home sick at first, I mean this is the first Iam actually away from my family, and FOUR HOURS at that!!!!! It's crazy but hey its all part of growing up. And that I have done a lot of, little things I swore I would never do I saw my mother doing growing up, I do NOW lol its crazy how exactly what you say you would never do is what you end up doing. Smh
